KM Wedding & Event Co is a boutique event planning company based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, that specializes in planning & designing events all over the Maritimes and internationally.
We offer a wide variety of services to best suit your needs and create the event you have always dreamed of. We are passionate about creating beautiful events for all of our clients and want your planning experience to be fun, exciting, and stress-free! We will work tirelessly to create a wonderful experience that you and your guests will talk about for years to come!
OUR STORY
KM Wedding & Event Co all began from Kathryn's love for weddings. After planning weddings across the East Coast for years, Kathryn knew it was time for KM Wedding & Event Co to begin.
KM Wedding & Event Co's vision is to create new concepts, embrace unique ideas and inspire couples. Our mission is to provide clients with dedication and creativity to bring their unique vision to life.

MEET THE TEAM
Kathryn MacPhee
BBA, WPICC
OWNER, LEAD PLANNER & DESIGNER
Growing up, Kathryn has always had a keen eye for art and design. Mix this with ambition and determination and it has led her to her dream career as a Wedding Planner & Designer. Her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and creative imagination put to use everyday to ensure that every client receives the wedding day of their dreams!
Kathryn graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a Double Concentration in Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management, along with a minor in Marketing. Kathryn then went on to become a Certified Wedding Planner with the Wedding Institute of Canada.
Aside from work her curiosity of the world has led her to one of her great joys in life, traveling. New York City and London are two of her favorite destinations so far. When Kathryn has some free time, you can usually find her painting, watching Netflix, or hanging out with her fur babies Ella or Mia, or boyfriend Lucas.
Britt
ASSISTANT WEDDING COORDINATOR
Britt has always had an eye for detail, loves to-do lists, and organizing events. Therefore, going into the wedding industry as a planner was meant to be. She moved to Halifax from P.E.I. last fall to study the Public Relations Program at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. When the KM Wedding & Event Co Co-op position was introduced, she immediately knew this was her dream placement.
When Britt is not alongside Kathryn assisting on weddings for the summer, she loves to stay active by exploring Halifax and going to the gym, spending time with friends, and shopping!
Rosie
OFFICE ADMIN/DAY OF ASSISTANT
Growing up with Kathryn, Rosie has always been surrounded by a creative environment. Taking after her mom and sister, Rosie loves to draw and create things. Pair that with her full-time job as a vet receptionist, and Rosie is the perfect fit for weddings!
When Rosie is not alongside Kathryn working on wedding details you can find her working at the vet clinic, drawing, hiking or cuddling one of her rabbits, Henry and Charlotte.
Jessica
DAY OF ASSISTANT
Jessica’s attention to detail and ability to multi-task allow her to succeed in the most creative scenarios. Jessica’s positive attitude and willingness to make clients happy is why she is an amazing addition to your special event.
When Jessica is not assisting Kathryn on the preparations for your big day or being a gym fanatic you can find her hiking with her adorable dog Winnie.
