Our Top 5 Nova Scotia Wedding Venues

Nova Scotia is filled with so many beautiful venues, from oceanside escapes to valley vineyards, to city vibes, we have it all! Over the years we have worked all over the province and have fallen in love with quite a few for many different reasons!

Located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Lightfoot and Wolfville is a stunning vineyard perfectly suited for weddings. One of our favourite things about this venue is once you arrive on-site, you don't have to leave until the party is over! Everything from getting ready, eating lunch, taking photos, ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner and dancing can happen directly on the property!

WHY WE LOVE IT?

- The property and views are absolutely breathtaking!

- Minimal rentals are needed! Lightfoot provides an arbour, ceremony benches, microphones, cocktail tables, harvest dinner tables, chiavari dining chairs, some lounge furniture, table runners, napkins, glassware/dishware, cutlery, and so much more! You are welcome to bring more in and add your personal touches, but not much is needed!

- Staff is fantastic! Everybody we have come across at Lightfoot & Wolfville has always been soo friendly, hardworking and accommodating!

- They have a beautiful rain backup location! On a warm sunny day, your ceremony would take place outside overlooking acres of lush, rolling vineyards and a breathtaking view, but if it happens to rain on the big day, the Gallery is a STUNNING backup option with a grand stone fireplace for your backdrop!

Honourable Mentions

Notes to Keep in Mind

Max Capacity: When it comes to a max capacity, keep in mind that this is dependent on your setup. If you are looking to have a buffet, band, stage, etc, then you will have to cut back a bit on your guest count, as these setups take up more space. Another thing to note in regard to capacity is that a venue at 100% capacity is typically not a comfortable fit and does not allow for flexible floor plans.

There are a lot of factors that should be considered when picking your venue. The are so many more venues that we love for soo many reasons, but the venues on our top 5 list were based on our overall experience. Some factors you may want to consider when selecting your venue are: Budget, Location, Guest Count, Accessibility, Availability, Aesthetic, Curfew, etc. We would love to help you select the venue that is best for you! Reach out today and we can chat more about how we can help :)

Leave a comment below to let us know what your favourite venue is and why you love it!
